Patnaites join nationwide celebration to mark India's historic win

Patna, Jan 19 (UNI) Hundreds of people from all walks of life across Bihar today joined millions of others in rest of the country to celebrate Indian cricket team's historic win against Australia in the Perth Test.

As soon as speedstar R P Singh knocked down the middle stumps of Saun Tait to give the country a historic 72 run win against the mighty Australians, the entire capital city burst into joy and started celebrating the victory cheerfully.

While both children and young supporters were seen dancing with Indian tricolours and photographs of Indian cricket stars particularly those of Irfan Pathan,Mahendra Singh Dhoni,Sachin Tendulkar,Rahul Dravid and skipper Anil Kumble,others started distributing sweets in the locality.

Diwali like situation seemed to have come back to several parts of the city and elsewhere as the sound of fire crackers reverberated the entire locality.

Bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar, an avid cricket fan, also congratulated the victorious Indian cricket team.In a message, he also wished them all success in the Adelaide test too to level the series.
