Pawan hits the front at LG Coimbatore Open

Coimbatore, June 17 (UNI) Delhi's Pawan Kumar fought the unruly winds and managed a one-over 73 to have a one-stoke lead over Aditya Bhandarkar after the opening round of the LG Coimbatore Open Amateur Golf here.

HS Kang was tied for the third place at 75 along with Moin Malak and Rahul Bajaj.

As many as five players - Tarun Ghogale, Manv Das, Vikram Rana, Abhinav Lohan and Saurabh Bahuguna were tied for the sixth place with a total of 76.

Last week's winner and hot favourite Gagan Verma was tied for the 12th place along with six others.
