Pearl bracelets for Ralf Schumacher

Varanasi, Mar 21 (UNI) Impoverished, but promising kids showered boundless warmth on German Formula One racer Ralf Schumacher gifting their 'Schumacher Bhaiyya' with pearl bracelets and paintings of national tri-colour.

The 31-year-old brother of seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher was welcomed by kids at the 'Go Ahead Children Home' in Nagwa locality here this afternoon with garlands and petal showers.

Accompanied by liquor baron and Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Mallya, the FI racer roamed freely around the home run by German World Hope Ward winner Stella Deetjen giving bear hugs to his little admirers and also snapping up their dances on oomphy numbers of Aqua and La Bouche.

Later, it was the turn of Panasonic Toyota F1 team's lead driver to visualise the martial art skills of students of the Home, while holding colourful gifts fashioned by the little hands.

While Ralf endeared the paintings of Indian flag and temple bells of this city of temples most, the pearl bracelets gifted by the children were equally fascinating.

''These bracelets alongwith the colourful drawings will always have special place in my life,'' reciprocated the younger schumi to his little fans.

The little girls were even more forthcoming. ''We love Schumacher Bhaiyya more than Sachin Tendulkar and always watch CDs of his six memorable F1 Grand Prix triumphs,'' said Chandni and Meera.

''We have watched CDs of Schumacher Bhaiyya's motor races, but we also want him playing cricket with Sachin just like his elder brother did in 2002 on the racing track of Silverstone (England),'' said Suraj a die-hard fan of the master blaster.

Interestingly, former Ferari world champion Michael Schumahcer had taken cricketing lessons from Sachin Tendulkar in the pits of the Silverstone F1 racing track in England on July 6, 2002.
