PEC to reveal findings next week

Lahore, May 12 (UNI) The real reasons behind Pakistan's debacle in the World Cup will be out in open when PCB chairman announces the findings of the Perfomance Evaluating Committee (PEC) early next week, PEC chairman Ijaz Butt said.

''After handing over a copy to the PCB chairman, he will be announcing the findings at a press conference either on Tuesday or Wednesday,'' Ijaz was quoted as saying by ''Dawn''.

He said the PEC completed its finding yesterday after a meeting to give final shape to the report.

The PEC chairman assured that the report will be revealed completely to the public as the team's poor show in the mega event has disappointed all and sundry in the country.

Butt claimed that the reports were comprehensive and genuine and said if the PCB acted on those it could be used as an effective strategy to avoid such kind of debacle in the future.

Pakistan were eliminated from the world cup after their shameful defeat against ''minnows'' Ireland on March 17, 2007.
