Peter Odafe goal gives crucial win for Mohun Bagan vs GT 3-2

Kolkata, Aug 2 (UNI) Peter Odafe had the last laugh in Mohun Bagan's 3-2 win scoring a goal seconds from end against George Telegrah, who first tested defeat in Sahara Premier Football League here today.

Mizo boy Lalawmpuiya gave Mohun Bagan lead on 22nd minute and Mama buttressed the tally on 38 minute from Jose Barreto's pass.

But in the second half George Telegraph regrouped and pumped two goals through F O Ipekere and Maduako Francis on 47 and 80 minute to revive their hope to remain undefeated, the only club in the eight-team league cup.

But defender Peter Odafe clinched the day for Bagan in home ground exactly on 90 minute to restore green-maroon pole position on better goal average over Mohammedan Sporting.

Both Md Sporting and Bagan have now 13 points from six plays, but the latter took top position on better goal scoring.

Both will have to play one more match each in the first leg to determine their position.

East Bengal have 11 points from six matches.
