Chandigarh, Nov 28 (UNI) The Punjab Football Association and Jagatjit Cotton Textile Mill have condoled the death of Olympian and Arjuna awardee goalkeeper Peter Thangaraj who died on November 25 in Bokaro following a massive heart attack.
Paying tributes, Parminder Singh, Sukhvinder Singh, Gurdev Singh Gill, Inder Singh and Samir Thapar described Thangaraj as a great player of the country and with his death the Indian sports community has suffered an irreparable loss.
The Chandigarh Football Association president and Venod Sharma, general secretary Rakesh Bakshi and Chandigarh Olympic Association general secretary Ravinder Talwar also condoled the death of Peter Thangaraj.
