In an interaction with newspersons, Gopichand, who is here to look for future champions in the Smt Krishna Khaitan All India Junior prize money and ranking tournament, said the need of the hour ia to tap talent and blending the Indian and International ethos of badminton.

Gopichand who was, during the stormy course with the senior players over the conduct of national camps, asserted that the 'crisis'was over and the players understood his viewpoint on the necessity to conduct the camps.

Referring to the players' contention that they needed to play in as many ranking tournaments in international arena as possible to improve their ranking, Gopichand explained ''when you lose to top players again and again, you can't beat them suddenly someday by going on playing.'' ''You need to prepare well, become stronger and improve your game.

Hence the necessity to conduct a camp to achieve this objective. I thinkg most of them(players) understood the point when we explained'', he averred.
