PMC announces Rs 5 lakh reward for Abhinav Bindra

Pune, Aug 11 (UNI) City Mayor Rajlakshmi Bhosale today announced a cash reward of Rs five lakh and a grand reception from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) for India's first-ever Olympic individual gold medallist, Abhinav Bindra.

At a function organised by the organising committee of the Commonwealth Youth Games at the Deccan Gymkhana here, the Mayor said Abhinav has done the country proud and hoped that many others would emulate him.
