Pranab lauds Bindra's gold medal winning feat

New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) Congratulating ace shooter Abhivav Bindra for winning the first ever individual gold medal for India at the Beijing Olympics, External Affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee today said his effort will aspire generations in their sporting endeavours.

''It was with great delight that I received the news of your winning India's first ever individual gold medal at the Beijing Olympics,'' the minister said in a statement.

''You have overcame many difficulties in life to reach this goal and your achivement testifies to your tremendous talent and determination,'' he added.

He further added that Bindra's feet will inspire the generations of young Indians in their sporting endeavours and motivate them to achieve greater heights.
