Pranita, Chandu post grand doubles each

Pune, Sep 10 (UNI) National bronze medalist Pranita Ghate and Chandu Jadhav of Krida Probhodini, Pimpri, won the 100 meters dash in the girls and boys under 16 sections respectively on the penultimate day of the Poona District Junior Athletic meet at the Baburao Sanas sports complex here today and posted grand doubles each.

Pranita won the 100 meters event clocking 13.3 seconds and, in the process, completed a fine double. The National Sports Trust lass had won the long jump event yesterday.

Chandu also recorded a grand double. After winning the 100 meters gold in a time of 12.1 seconds, the lad also claimed the gold in the 400 meters race clocking 68.6 seconds today.
