Sultanpur, Dec 13 (UNI) Preparations are underway in full-swing for the home visit of Australia bound rooki pacer Pankaj Singh tomorrow.
Pankaj, the India 'A' player, who has been selected in senior team India for its next Australian tour, is coming to his native village Baheta in Goriganj area of Amethi.
Pankaj's friends and fellow players have huge plans for tomorrow saying music and colour would be a part of the celebration of-course.
The frenzy local crowd had bursted crackers and distributed sweets to express their happiness on his selection yesterday.
The youths seemed to be most excited as they carry most interest in cricket.
Pankaj's father Sukhraj Singh, a retired armyman said, ''I am glad on my son... he has brought laurels not only to us, but also to the villagers here.'' He will take the blessings of all the elders of the village, before going on the Australian tour, the proud father said.
Meanwhile, Pankaj's neighbour Babblu Singh said, ''we have booked music bands, bought flowers and colours to welcome the player.'' Born on May 6, 1985, Pankaj, completed his primary education from HAL and intermediate from Allahabad. He graduated from Kamla Nehru Institute, Sultanpur, in 2004.
Pankaj had also recieved huge applaud for his bowling during India 'A' side's Zimbabwe tour.
