Prime Volleyball League Gets FIVB Stamp As Season 5 Set To Begin From November 30

The Prime Volleyball League will return for its landmark Season 5 on November 30, 2026. The Season 5 Player Auction is set for Goa on August 17, 2026, when franchises will build squads from India’s top volleyball talent ahead of the new campaign.

The Fédération Internationale de Volleyball, or FIVB, has officially recognised PVL as India’s first division professional volleyball league. The recognition follows four years of work to build a structured, high-performance competition that has raised standards, widened the talent pool and strengthened the sport’s wider setup in the country.

International pathway for clubs

Clubs in the Prime Volleyball League will be eligible for international tournaments under the Central Asian Volleyball Association, the Asian Volleyball Confederation and FIVB club competitions, subject to regulations and qualification rules. The pathway gives Indian clubs a chance to compete against leading teams across Asia and in global events.
