Maharashtra's rich cultural roots met the adrenaline of modern competitive sports as Pro Govinda League Season 3 launched its high-energy qualifiers in Thane. Featuring 32 Govinda teams from across the state, the event delivered a riveting display of strength, coordination, and discipline, all vying for a coveted spot in the much-anticipated grand finale.

This year, the league has taken a major leap forward-expanding its reach to a national audience through an official television broadcast partnership. With broader brand collaborations and increased visibility, Season 3 aims to cement Dahi Handi's identity not just as a festive celebration, but as an adventure sport officially recognized by the Maharashtra government.

From the intense qualification rounds, 16 standout teams emerged victorious, earning their place in the main event. Set to take place from August 7 to 9, 2025, at Dome SVP in Mumbai, the finale promises a three-day spectacle of competitive sport steeped in cultural heritage. Teams demonstrated remarkable strategic execution and athleticism, constructing multi-tiered human pyramids and delivering salami performances in a format that blends tradition with the energy of modern sports entertainment.

The qualifiers also drew the attention of key public figures, including Maharashtra's Transport Minister Mr. Pratap Sarnaik, who attended the event to extend his support and motivation to the participating squads.

Building momentum towards the finale, the team auction-scheduled for July 5, 2025, in Mumbai-will reveal team alliances, as Govinda squads are acquired by respective team owners. The auction is expected to set the tone for what promises to be a landmark chapter in the league's journey.

Under the leadership of its Founder and Chairman Mr. Pratap Sarnaik and League President Mr. Purvesh Sarnaik, the Pro Govinda League has grown into one of Maharashtra's most eagerly followed sporting events. Each season has expanded the league's impact and reach, preserving its cultural ethos while elevating it to a professional platform.

Speaking on the significance of Season 3, League President Mr. Purvesh Sarnaik stated:
