Pune-Baramati open cycle race to be held on July 22
Pune, July 9 (UNI) The annual Pune-Baramati open cycle race will be held here on July 22.
Baramati Mandal president Shivaji Kale, in a release here today, said the annual race is being held to celebrate the birthday of District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar.
He said leading cyclists from Maharashtra, along with Railawys and Services, will vie for honours.
The competition, held under the aegis of the Cycling Federation of India (CFI), will offer Rs 1.36 lakh as prize money. The open event will carry a prize money of Rs 86,000, while the Indian made cycle race will offer Rs 50,000, the release said.
The last date for acceptance of entry forms is July 16.
