Punjab CM promises job for Rajinder Rahule

Chandigarh, Sep 26 (UNI) The Punjab government has decided to recruit the Arjuna Awardee powerlifter Rajinder Singh Rahule as a coach in the Sports Department in the state.

An assurance to this effect was given by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal when Rahule called on him today.

It may be recalled that Rajinder Singh Rahule is the first Indian to win a bronze medal in the 52 Kg category in Paralympics Game at Athens 2004.

He also set many new records during various national level championships and was declared 'Strongman of India' during 6th and 7th Paralympics National Powerlifting Championship at Ahmdabad (2004) and Nagpur (2005).
