Pyeongchang first to be grilled in 2014 Games race
SINGAPORE, Jan 11 (Reuters) South Korea's Winter Olympics candidate city Pyeongchang will be the first to be grilled by a team assessing its suitability to host the 2014 Games, the International Olympic Committee said today.
The IOC's Evaluation Commission will visit Pyeongchang from February. 14-17 before moving on to Russia's Sochi from Feb. 20-23 and ending with Salzburg in Austria from March 14-17.
The trio of cities were earlier shortlisted from a list of seven applicants.
The Evaluation Commission will submit a report to IOC members no later than one month before the election of the host city on July 4 during the 119th IOC Session in Guatemala City.
