Queen's Baton Relay to reach Delhi on Sep 30

By Samyuktha
New Delhi, Sep 30: As India anxiously awaits the crucial Ayodhya verdict, the national capital is also on a wait of sorts on Thursday, Sep 30 as it braces to receive the Queen's Baton Relay of the Commonwealth Games.

The Baton will reach Delhi from Haryana. As per reports, Delhi"s Education and Sports Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely will receive the relay at Kapashera on Delhi-Haryana border.

Among the others who will be part of the relay at Delhi are Chief Secretary Rakesh Mehta, Principal Secretary for CWG PK Tripathi and R Narayanswami, special advisor for the Commonwealth Games.

The scandal marred Delhi Games is slated to kick start on Oct 3.

However, the baton coming to the capital has taken a back seat as the focus of the country right now is completely on the Ayodhya title suit judgement from Allahabad High Court.
