New Delhi, Aug 16: After PM Manmohan Singh intervened into CWG organization, the Group of Ministers (GoM) on CWG announced on Sunday, Aug 15 that AR Rahman would tune its theme song.

"GoM has finalized the theme song. A.R. Rahman will give final touches and it will be presented before the people in 10 days," said Development minister Jaipal Reddy.

Reddy added, "The theme song 'Swagatham' will be the last song of the opening ceremony."

"We discussed the theme song with Shyam Benegal and Bharat Bala, as well as Rahman, and we approved it in principle," stated Reddy.

"I like the song," said CWG OC Chairman, Suresh Kalmadi commenting on the theme song.

According the sources, the theme song generates excitement and gives the right message.

The sources said, 'Swagatham' will be released for the people of India soon.
