Rain disrupts net practice at Bangalore

Bangalore, Dec 6 (UNI) Weather played spoilsport during the net practice of both India and Pakistan teams at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here today, ahead of the final test beginning on Saturday, Indian players went to the ground first and after a brief warm-up session commenced their practice under bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad. V V S Laxman chose to bat at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) with some local boys who bowled with plastic balls.

Sachin Tendulkar was not at the nets as he was taking rest, while Sourav Ganguly, who was suffering from fever, was expected to join the team tonight.

The Pakistan team, which arrived for the nets 30 minutes after their Indian counterparts, too had to call off their net practice due to bad light and showers.

The teams would have two more sessions tomorrow.
