Ramita Jindal is an Indian shooter who will make her Olympic debut in Paris this year. She is one of the two shooters in the women’s 10m air rifle and will team up with Arjun Babuta in the 10m air rifle mixed team.
She secured a silver medal in the Women's 10 metre air rifle team event and a bronze medal in the 10m air rifle at the 2022 Asian Games. During the Olympic Selection Trials in 2024, she achieved a score of 636.4 points, surpassing the world record by 0.1 points.

Ramita was born on January 16, 2004, in Ladwa, Haryana. She studied at the Aggarsain Public School in Kurukshetra and completed her graduation in Bachelor of Commerce at Hansraj College, University of Delhi in 2024.
Her father, Arvind Jindal, is an advocate and income tax advisor. Her mother, Sonika Jindal, is a homemaker. She inspired her younger brother Pranav to take up shooting.
Ramita began her shooting journey in 2016 by enrolling at the prestigious Karan Shooting Range in Kurukshetra under the guidance of coach Jagbir Singh. Subsequently, she pursued professional training at the GFG (Gun for Glory) academy located in Chennai. Her brother also trains at the same academy as her.
While in school, Ramita Jindal secured 2nd and 3rd place in various district and state-level competitions, which led her to qualify for national events.
In 2019, she claimed a bronze medal at the CBSE National Championship hosted at SS International School on Kunjpura Road in Karnal. Following that, she achieved a bronze medal at the 2021-22 Junior World Championship in Lima, Peru, and went on to win one gold and two silver medals at the 2022 International Junior World Cup.
In 2022, Ramita won two gold medals at the World Championship in Cairo in the 10m Air Rifle Women's event and the team event. She also secured a gold medal at the 2022 World Cup in Baku in the team event as well as a silver medal at the 2022 World Cup in Changwon in the team event.
In 2023, the Government of India acknowledged Ramita's potential and began supporting her through the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS). This initiative provides assistance with weapon servicing, inspection, and pellet testing at the Walther Factory in Germany.
