Ready to face inquiry but after game: Kalmadi

New Delhi, Aug 24: Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee chief, Suresh kalmadi stated that after all corruptions, he is still the head of the committee and he is ready to confront any inquiry after the games.

"Our reputation is at stake and after all these years of hard work I don"t want to go down in this manner. That is why I want this inquiry," said CWG chief.

Kalmadi on Tuesday, Aug 24, clearly stated that he is not a quitter and the corruption allegations can not force him to step down at the moment when the long waited games is about to resume.

"CGF chief Michael Fennell had come and he had given a good report. So I welcome all this because of the circumstances," he added.

According to Kalmadi, the CWG situation is under control now and they are ready to produce a successful game programme in India.

However, he also confessed that he had a tough time in lifting the morale of his team after the alleged corruption scandals came out in the media.

"It was not so much a distraction for me but it was for my staff. I have to keep up the morale of my staff, definitely I had a tough time on that," said kalmadi.
