Red Rooster Racing launched

Bangalore, Jun 7 (UNI) The Red Rooster Racing (RRR), a company dedicated to promoting Indian talent in a wide range of Motor Sports, was formally launched here today by a group of businessmen and well-known professionals from auto racing.

In the first of its kind in the country, the company announced driving and riding teams for various motor sports disciplines, ranging from cycling, motorcycling and car racing.

RRR was promoted by businessmen and Management professionals Dinesh Reddy, Deepak Mathew and Kumar Nadig, who had passion for motor sports.

Seven Times Indian National Racing Champion Leela Krishnan and Andrew Morrice, head of Mazzo International in Singapore have joined RRR as technical Directors to give a formidable edge to the company.

RRR Managing Director Dinesh Reddy, talking to newspersons here, said ''It is an initiative that hopes to harness potential from one of the largest sources of talent in the world. RRR would provide a financially and technically competent platform to showcase Indian talent in a variety of national and internatrional motor sports events.

He said RRR proposes to build a Racing Circuit in Bangalore and would be investing about Rs 15 crore for building necessary infrastructure.

Replying to a question, he said three sites have been selected for Racing Circuit and it will be finalised soon.

Mr Reddy said in 2008, the RRR Team would be participating in the Indian National Rally Championship with two Mitsubishi Cedia Sports cars in the 'N' category driven by Vikram Mathias and Amittrajit Ghosh while P V S Murthy and Ashwin Naik, would be co-drivers respectively. The team would also participate in the 1000 cc Formula Rolon Chevrolet (FRC) category of the JK Tyre Racing Championship.

It was proposed to set up a specialised modification facility to enhance performance of cars and a full-fledged race track, he added.
