Red Devils to take a 'dip' to sign Robben

By Super Admin

London, Aug 26 (ANI): Manchester United will make a final deadline busting bid to sign Arjen Robben from Real Madrid.

The Red Devils have already quoted 26-million pounds for Robben, but they now plan to slash down the price for the footie.

Old Trafford bosses will start with an opening bid of about 11million Euros. However, it is believed 15million Euros may be enough to bag the winger.

The 26-year-old Robben, is expected to take the place of Cristiano Ronaldo who left United to join Real Madrid, The Sun reports.

The Dutchman has been in thundering form for Real in pre-season. But he is expected to be dropped out for Bernabeu.

Robben had come close to joining the red league in 2004 when he visited United's training ground.

But later he chose a 12m-pound move to Chelsea.

Chelsea sold him off to Real in 2007. (ANI)
