Reddy Siki, Varatak Gayatri qualify for main draw

Hyderabad, Apr 1 (UNI) India's Reddy Siki and Varatak Gayatri qualified for the Yonex Sunrise Indian Open Gold Grand Prix 2008 here today.

The main draw matches would begin tomorrow.

F U Mingtian of Singapore and Augustyn Kamila of Poland have also qualified for the matches.

In the mixed doubles qualifying matches, Liao Sheng Shium and Chang Li Ying of Taipei and Diju V and Gutta Jwala of India, Neo Yu Yan Vanessa and Chrisnanta Bawa of Singapore and Lee Sheng Mu and Yang Chia Chen of Taipei qualified for the main draw.

Results: Fu Mingtian (Singapore) beat Chen Jieyuan (Singapore)21-14,21-8 Reddy Siki(Ind) Beat Nair Dhanya (Ind) 13-7 and retired.

Varatak Gayatri(Ind) beat G U Juan (Singapore) 21-19,21-16 Augustiyan Kamila(Poland) beat Balan Aparna((Ind) 21-18,21-14.

Mixed doubles: Liao Sheng Shiun and Chang Liying( Taipei) got a bye.

Diju V and Gutta Jwala (India) beat Gopan Shanker and Reddy Siki(Ind) 21-11,21-4.

Neo Yu Yan Vanessa and Chrisnanta Bawa (Singapore) beat Ong Jien Guo and Lim Yin Loo of Malasia 20-22, 22-20, 21-17 Lee Sheng Mu and Yang Chia Chen(Taipei) beat Nugroho N and Nursugianti (INA) 21-15, 21-13.
