Ric Charlesworth to be appointed as Expert Coach/Technical Advisor

New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) Legendary Australian Ric Charlesworth is all set to be appointed as the Expert Coach/Technical Advisor for both the Indian men's and women's senior and junior hockey teams.

According to information received here, a principal agreement has now been reached with Dr Charlesworth, to take up the assignment of guiding the men's, women's and junior teams to prepare for the World Hockey Olympic Qualifying tournament 2008, Beijing Olympic Games 2008 and 2010 Commonwealth Games.

He will work alongside Indian men's hockey team coach Joaquim Carvalho.

Final details of the contract will be spelt out in the coming weeks and it is expected that Dr Charlesworth -- due to existing commitments -- will take over only by the beginning of December.
