Rinku Sangwan to lead 40-member Haryana Athletic Team

Chandigarh, May 13 (UNI) Bhiwani's Shot-putter and Discus Thrower Kumari Rinku Sangwan will lead the 40-member contingent of Haryana State Athletic Team for the 8th Federation Cup National Junior Athletic Championship and the 5th National Youth Athletic Championship to be held in Pune from May 22-24.

Announcing this here today Haryana State Athletic Association Secretary H S Bhadu said the 8th Junior Federation Cup men team --Kuldeep Singh (400m), Sunny (pole vault), Naveen Kumar (shotput and discus), Sandeep (jevelin throw), Bhupender (hammer throw) all from Bhiwani District, Rambir (hammer throw) of Rohtak, Rakesh (decathlon) of Hisar, Pradeep and Sandeep (10km walk) from Jhajjar.

The Women members are--Savita Dhankhar (1500 and 5000m) and Kavita Dalal (10km walk) from Rohtak, Manisha (discus throw) of Panipat, Rinku Rani (discus and shot put) of Bhiwani, Poonam (javelin throw) from Jhajjar and Mamta (10km walk) from Panchkula.

5th National Youth Boys Team: Manish (100m) of Panipat, Dharamveer (400m) of Rohtak, Parveen Kumar (400m), Sudhir Kumar (long jump), Vipin Singh (high jump), Naresh Antil (shot put), Aakash Antil (discus) all from Sonipat, Baljit Singh (800m), Praveen Kumar (400m hurdle), Pradeep Kumar (high jump), Virender Singh and Arvind Kumar (javelin), Surender (hammer throw) all from Bhiwani, Neeraj (10km walk) of Jhajjar, Amit Kumar and Aman Handa (4X400 relay) from Kurukshetra.

Girls: Monika Dhankhar (100 and 200m), Manisha (400m) from Rohtak, Kaushalya (100m and long jump), Pooja Jangra (triple jump), Promila (discus throw) from Hisar, Ritu (400 and 800m) of Sonipat, Anju Bala (javelin), Reena Kumari (hammer) of Jhajjar, Anju Rathi (javelin) of Sirsa.

The Managers of the team are Rammehar Singh and Suman bala and the coach is Krishan Kumar.
