On Sunday he had won his seventh gold medal in the men's 100m category beating close rival USA's Justin Gatlin.

Surprisingly in the semi-final, two of the heavyweights of the competition Justin Gatlin and Bolt's compatriot Yohan Blake failed qualify for the final as Panama's Alonso Edwards won the race.
