Rio Olympics 2016: 'India will win only 2 medals'

Bengaluru, August 1: A computer algorithm generated by the The Association Press (AP) suggests that India will win only 2 medals at the upcoming Rio Olympics 2016.

The Sporting extravaganza is scheduled to start on August 5 at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. India are sending a contingent comprising of 199 members in 15 sports. It is India's biggest ever Olympics contingent.

Fans across the country are hopefull of successful campaign at Rio for India. India best ever journey at the Games was the in the last edition at London in 2012, when a total of 6 medals were bagged by the Indian athletes, 2 silvers and 4 bronze medals.

The members of The Association Press recently conducted a program to find a virtual medals tally for this years Olympic games. The result which came out will definitely not impress the Indian fans.

The result suggests, that India as a unit will end their campaign with just 2 medals, a silver and a bronze medal.

Three times Asian Games Gold medalist in 50 m pistol event Jitu Rai will end up winning a silver medal behind South Korean Jin Jong-oh.

The other medal that is the bronze medal will be grabbed by the pair of Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza in Tennis, mixed doubles category.

Eventhough technology's verdict goes against India, the 1.2 billion citizens of India would pray and hope for a much improved performance by the Athletes and finish the Olympics on a higher note this time.
