The Haryana girl's achievement was remarkable considering she was trailing 0-5 against her opponent in the bronze medal play-off bout. She bounced back to down Kyrgysztan's Aisuluu Tynybekova 8-5.

Here are 5 records set by Sakshi

1. Sakshi is India's 1st medallist at Rio Olympics

2. She is the first ever Indian female wrestler to win a medal in Olympic history. Before her, 3 Indian men wrestlers had won - KD Jadhav (Bronze in 1952 Helsinki), Sushil Kumar (Brone in Beijing 2008, Silver in London 2012) and Yogeshwar Dutt (Bronze in London 2012)

3. Sakshi is only the 4th Indian woman to win an Olympic medal. Karnam Malleswari (Bronze in weightlifting in Sydney 2000), Mary Kom (Bronze in boxing in London 2012) and Saina Nehwal (Bronze in badminton in London 2012) are the other 3

4. Sakshi has won a medal in her Olympics debut

5. At 23, Sakshi is the youngest Indian wrestler to win an Olympic medal
