Rio De Janeiro, July 1: A new batch of tickets have been made available for the Rio 2016 Olympic opening and closing ceremonies, organisers said on Thursday (June 30).

Entry to the men's and women's volleyball and rugby finals are also being offered to fans via the Rio 2016 website or at selected shopping centres, Xinhua reported.

Opening ceremony tickets start at nearly $60 while the most expensive seats cost up to $1,400. Closing ceremony ticket prices range from $60 to $900.

Tickets cost 80 US dollars to 370 US dollars for the volleyball finals and 40 US dollars to 90 US dollars for the rugby gold medal matches.

The Rio Games, the first in South America, will run from August 5 to 21.
