Road To UFC Season 2 Final: Who Is Fighting And When & Where To Watch The Event?

The Road To UFC Season 2 will come to a close this weekend when UFC returns to UFC APEX in Las Vegas for the finals of the tournament which will see three Asian prospects land contracts at the MMA promotion.

In the first season, the winners from each division were awarded coveted UFC contracts: Anshul Jubli of India, Jeong Yeong Lee of South Korea, Rinya Nakamura of Japan, and Hyun Sung Park of South Korea.

Additionally, three more ROAD TO UFC participants were signed: finalist Jeka Saragih of Indonesia, finalist Toshiomi Kazama of Japan, and non-tournament bout winner Zhang Mingyang.

Following the conclusion of UFC Vegas 85: Dolidze vs. Imavov event, the finals for ROAD TO UFC Season 2 will take place, giving three top prospects from Asia the chance to earn a UFC contract.

ROAD TO UFC is a ground-breaking "win and advance" tournament for Asia's top MMA prospects. ROAD TO UFC Season 2 again featured four weight divisions: flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight and lightweight.

The opening round took place on May 27 and 28 at the UFC Performance Institute Shanghai, and the semifinals took place following UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs Korean Zombie in Singapore on August 27. The following eight semifinalists have advanced to the finals:

Flyweight Final: 22-year old dedicated finisher Jiniushiyue "Little King Kong" (13-2, fighting out of Sichuan, China) faces decorated national wrestler 21-year old Rei Tsuruya (8-0, fighting out of
Chiba, Japan).

Featherweight Final: Iconic aggressive striker Kaiwen (12-5, fighting out of Hunan, China) faces seasoned, intelligent tactician Yizha (24-4, fighting out of Sichuan, China).

Lightweight Final: Former UFC athlete and strong finisher Rongzhu (24-5, fighting out of Sichuan, China) faces power wrestler Shin Haraguchi (7-0-1NC, fighting out of Kagoshima, Japan).

Bantamweight Final: The bout was postponed due to an injury picked up Xiao Long, who was scheduled to face Chang Ho Lee. The fight date will be announced later.

What time is the Road to UFC Season 2 final starting?

ROAD TO UFC Season 2 finals will air live on Saturday (February 3) after the UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs Imavov event. Due to time difference, the event will air in Asia on Sunday, February 4, starting at 10 AM IST in India, and 12:30 PM CST in China.

How to watch Road to UFC Season 2 final in Asia?

The event will air live on UFC Fight Pass at 11:30 PM ET / 8:30 PM PT in the USA on Saturday (February 3), while the event will air live the next day due to time difference in Asia. In India, the event will not be shown on TV or on Sony LIV. So, fans can follow the action via Fight Pass.
