India's Angad Bisht will be among 16 fighters from across Asia battling to get closer to landing a dream UFC contract when Road To UFC (RTU) Season 3 returns this weekend with the semi-final round for the four weight divisions.

Road To UFC Season 3 kicked off with the opening round on May 18 and 19 at the UFC Performance Institute Shanghai, where 32 martial arts athletes competed in each of four weight classes - flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight, and for the first time, women's strawweight.

Four winners in each division have advanced to the semifinals following victories in the opening round, which also happened to be the quarter-final round of the new season. Fighting at flyweight, Angad Bisht stopped Phlippines' John Dave Almanza in the first round of the tournament.

The Indian Bisht will now look to emulate his compatriot Anshul Jubli and seal a UFC contract, starting with his semi-final outing against Korea's Dong HunChoi this weekend, when there will be last four contests in four weight divisions.

A victory in the semi-final could pit him against Indian-origin Kiru Singh Sahota or Ruel Panales of Philippines in the final, which may take place at the end of this year or at the start of 2025. But before that, it will be the critical semi-final.

ROAD TO UFC Season 3 semifinals will take place at the UFC APEX Arena in Las Vegas on Friday, August 23. Due to time difference, the event will take place on Saturday, August 24 morning in India.

What time will the Road To UFC Season 3 semi-final episodes air in India?

Each episode will include four tournament bouts and one additional non-tournament bout. Episode 5 will be broadcast live in India at 6:30 AM IST (Indian Standard Time) on Saturday, August 24, and Episode 6 will start at 8:30 AM IST.
