ONE Championship has officially announced the fight that the striking world has been eagerly waiting for. Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Takeru Segawa will face each other in one of the most anticipated fights in recent times.
Two of the biggest striking megastars will go to war in a five-round flyweight kickboxing super-fight on March 23, 2025, at ONE 172, set to take place at Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

Former three-division K-1 Champion "The Natural Born Crusher" signed with ONE with a single agenda - to fight Rodtang. "The Iron Man" and Takeru were schedule to go head-to-head in early 2024, but Rodtang had to withdraw due to an injury.
Recently, both expressed interest in facing each other soon, and they even came face-to-face in the ring. Rodtang has become a household name in martial arts, with his aggressive approach and crowd-pleasing fighting style. He has an astonishing career record of 273-43-10.
Recently, the former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion lost his belt due to missing weight. He has competed in 17 striking fights in ONE, winning 16 of them. The Thai megastar made his ONE kickboxing debut against Tagir Khalilov and has won all three of his kickboxing bouts.
His recent kickboxing bout against Denis Puric was an absolute banger and a Fight of the Year candidate. But standing across from him this time will be a Japanese legend who has all the tools to defeat "The Iron Man."
With an outstanding record of 42-4, Takeru joined the promotion and in his debut match challenged Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the flyweight crown. Although, he lost, both produced a fight for the ages.
In search of his first ONE victory, the 33-year-old returned to face Myanmar's phenom Thant Zin. Takeru came from behind and knocked him out in round two. Now, the stars have aligned, and martial arts fans will be treated to an exceptional fight between two of this generation's greatest fighters.
ONE 172 card will also see a rematch for the vacant ONE Flyweight World Championship as former three-time champion Adriano Moraes takes on Yuya Wakamatsu for the second time in three in a bout that is expected to take the co-main event slot. Here is a look at the card for ONE 172:
