ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced a collaboration with Global Esports for Seasons 11 and 12 of the ROG Academy. This partnership aims to enhance the skills of aspiring Valorant players. Registrations will be open from 28th January for a week, with Global Esports managing the selection process. Five players will be chosen for professional training using ROG's latest equipment.
The ROG Academy, known for nurturing esports talent in India, is set to elevate its programme with this new partnership. Global Esports, recognised for its achievements in games like CS: GO and Valorant, will provide professional coaching. The selected players will undergo rigorous training to refine their skills and gain exposure in the competitive gaming arena.

Participants will experience a five-day boot camp in Mumbai, focusing on team dynamics and receiving guidance from esports experts. They will also benefit from monthly Valorant training sessions and Tier-1 scrimmage opportunities. Additionally, each player will receive a monthly stipend of INR 20,000 during their six-month training period.
Arnold Su, Vice President of Consumer and Gaming PC at ASUS India, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative. "As we step into 2025, the evolution of Esports is more apparent than ever," he stated. "ASUS ROG Academy program is committed to fostering this emerging talent and refining their skills to a professional level."
Dr. Rushindra Sinha, Founder & CEO of Global Esports, shared his excitement about working with ASUS. "We are extremely excited to be working closely with ASUS for their ROG Academy initiative," he said. "Together, we will be scouting, training and building the next generation of superstar VALORANT Esports athletes coming out of India."
The academy's previous seasons have been successful, with over 15,000 registrations and 54 players trained across ten seasons. Many participants have secured positions in top-tier organisations after completing the programme. Last season saw academy players competing in various tournaments like Dust2 India - 1xBet Cup Open Qualifier.
ROG Academy aims to empower players by offering holistic development opportunities. Biannual workshops for players and their parents are planned to address misconceptions about gaming careers. Participants will also get hands-on experience with ROG Strix Laptops and other gaming peripherals during their training.
The collaboration between ASUS ROG and Global Esports seeks to equip players with essential skills for professional competition. With India's esports market growing rapidly, this initiative offers aspiring gamers a chance to excel on national and international stages.
