Roma tighten grip on second
ROME, Apr 29 (Reuters) AS Roma closed in on Serie A's second automatic Champions League qualifying place after they drew 0-0 at home to city rivals Lazio today.
The result left Roma needing three points from their remaining four matches to be sure of finishing runners-up in the division behind champions Inter Milan, who host Empoli in a later match 0030 hrs.
Lazio are fourth on 58 points, one point behind AC Milan, who beat Torino 1-0 yesterday.
Elsewhere, Palermo's new coach Renzo Gobbi began his tenure with a 2-1 win at Livorno, ending the Sicilian side's run of 11 matches without a win and lifting it to fifth on 52 points.
