Jamshedpur, Dec 1 (UNI) A fine leg spin bowling by Sujit Roy of Jharkhand restircted Goa to a moderate 251 for seven on the opening day of the four-day Ranji trophy plate group B tie at the Keenan stadium here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Goa had decent start as the opening pair Sagun Kamat and S Asnodkar put up 49 runs.
Jharkhand pacer S S Rao struck first claiming the wicket of Asnodkar for 21 but Roy was the chief-in-wrecker as he ripped through the top order of the visitors.
Roy first claim the wicket of Kamat(41),then webbing the magic of spin bowling he notched up the wickts of Sahil Dhuri (43), captian J Arun Kumar (6),top scorer Manoj Joglekar(47) and Robin D'Souza(1).
Kuldeep Sharma picked up the prize wicket of Ajay Ratra(40).
Roy wrapped up the day with 52 for five while Rao and Sharma bagged one wicket each also conceding 52 runs each.
Shadhab Jakati and S Bandekar were batting on 19 and 14 respectively when the stumps were drawn.
