Mumbai's own S8UL has once again emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the Esports arena, securing their position as India's representative at the Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2024.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Honolulu, Hawaii, from August 18-20, the team is poised to compete in the tournament's third edition, vying for a share of the impressive $500,000 prize pool.

Following their performance last year, S8UL's return to the World Championship underscores their dominance in the national qualifiers. The five-member team, under the leadership of Manmohan Singh (S8UL AllMight), showcased exceptional teamwork and skill, outperforming top Indian teams to win $15,000 in prize money and the coveted spot at the global event.
"This group of players has proven their mettle, and we're thrilled to represent India once more," said team mentor Mrinmoy Lahkar, expressing pride in S8UL's achievements.
The team's journey through the qualifiers was marked by decisive victories, including a notable 2-0 win against Team No Tilt and Six Uppermoon, culminating in a challenging but successful bout against Zenigame Squad in the final rounds.
Captain Manmohan Singh emphasized the dedication and preparation that fueled their success, stating, "We're not just playing; we're upholding the honour of representing our country." With their sights set on the championship, S8UL is determined to showcase their prowess and bring glory to India on the international stage.
Recognized for their contributions to mobile gaming and content creation, S8UL's consistent excellence has placed them at the forefront of India's Esports community. As they prepare for the upcoming challenge in Honolulu, the team's ambition is clear: to compete with the best and elevate India's standing in the global Esports circuit.
