Saahil Rawat, a Class X student from Orchids The International School, Sonipat, has bagged two gold medals at the South Asian Table Tennis Academy Championship 2024.
Rawat will represent India at the World Table Tennis Championship in Peru on June 16th, 2024. This event was organised by the Sri Lanka Table Tennis Association.

Rawat clinched gold in the U15 Teams and U15 Doubles categories. He competed against participants from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
Rawat has been practising Table Tennis for eight years. He aims to become the world's top Table Tennis player and win an Olympic medal for India.
He has secured two international medals and over 15 domestic medals in his career. He is currently coached by Peter Nilson, Veer Saran, Manisha Verma, and Halim from the PSPB Table Tennis Academy.
Rawat expressed his excitement and honour in representing India. He thanked his coaches, Orchids The International School, and his parents for their support.
Sahil expressed, "I am super excited and honoured that I have got this golden opportunity to represent my country at the World Table Tennis Championships. My hard work and rigorous efforts have paid off. I am thankful to my coaches Peter Nilson, Veer Saran, Manisha Verma, and Halim, and Orchids The International School and my parents, who have collectively played a crucial role in supporting my table tennis journey. They have encouraged me to perform better, and motivated me to aim higher."
