SAARC carrom championship in Nagpur from tomorrow

Nagpur, Aug 31 (UNI) The 3-day 11th SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) Carrom Championship will begin here tomorrow.

The meet would have participation of 48 players from six countries, Vidarbha Carrom Association (VCA) president K M Azhar Hussain said.

The participating countries are India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Maldives and Sri Lanka, he said.

The event will have men's singles, men's doubles, women's singles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, men's team championship and women's team championship, Mr Hussain said.

The Asian Carrom Championship is slated to be held in Raipur from September 5 to 8, he added.
