Sabeer Bhatia-promoted Arzoo.com to sponsor Mary Kom

Mumbai, Feb 1 (UNI) Three-time women's World champion M C Mary Kom has finally found a sponsor in Sabeer Bhatia-promoted travel portal Arzoo.com.

The boxing sensation was signed before the semi-finals of the fourth World Women Boxing Championship in New Delhi last year.

COO of Arzoo.com Yogesh Patel said, ''Mary Kom has a fantastic track record as a three time World Champion, but is not receiving due recognition of her talent. We are hopeful that with our support she will get greater international exposure to finetune her skills further.'' Apart from the sponsorship amount, Arzoo.com would also provide the travel kit, which will include certain number of apparels like t-shirt, track suit as a part of the sponsorship deal.

Mary Kom won gold in the world championship in Turkey in 2002, followed by two Asian championships in 2003 and 2005. She successfully defended her title in the 2005 World Championship in Moscow, and completed a hat-trick at the recently concluded fourth World Championship, in front of an adoring home crowd.
