New Delhi, Aug 18: Controversies do not seem to leave Commonwealth Games as the suspended CWG OC member, Sanjay Mohindroo's name again had been raised regarding his claims of Rs 22.8 lakh as reimbursements.

Suresh Kalmadi's key aide, Mohindroo was given £ 127,930.40 for managing the London leg of the Queen's Baton Relay.

But he showed expenditure of £ 160,526.90 and demanded the difference of Rs 22.8 lakh as reimbursements.

Now, Organizing Committee Accounts Director had raised questions over Mohindroo's claims.

The director asked, "A statement is required to be prepared regarding amount sanctioned and expenditure of Mohindroo. Does it mean that he spent an amount of Rs 22.80 lakh out of his own funds in UK?"

Enforcement Directorate had already inquired Mohindroo over alleged financial irregularities.

Mohindroo was one of the three officials along with TS Darbari and M Jeychandren, who were suspended because of the controversy surrounding payoffs to AM Films and Queen's Baton Relay launch in London in Oct 2009.
