SAI provides incentive to sportspersons in Pondy

Puducherry, Dec 11: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has provided cash incentives to sportspersons, who won in state and national events.

According to a release from SAI here today, an amount of Rs 3,36,600 was distributed to 51 sportspersons, who won in state-level competitions and another Rs 42,000 at the rate of Rs 8,400 each were given to sportspersons, who won medals at the national-level.

Education Minister M O H F Shajahan disbursed the incentives to the beneficieries on December seven.
