Sai, Sikki enter Under-16 finals

Chennai, May 30 (UNI) Top seeds Sai Praneeth and Sikki Reddy of Andhra Pradesh entered the finals of the 17th Krishna Khaitan All India Junior Ranking tournament in the boy's and girls singles category respectively here today.

In the semi-finals clash of U-16 category, the top seed Sai Praneeth of Andhra Pradesh was stretched to the limit before he came back to post a 16-21, 21-16, 21-16 hard fought win over Rajkumar.

He set up a title clash with second seed Hiraj Jyoti Neog of Assam.

In the other semi final, Hiraj was also stretched to the full distance by H S Prannoy of Kerala before he won the match 21-14, 14-21, 21-16.

In the Girls section, top seed Sikki Reddy of Andhra Pradesh defeated Daya Elsa Jacob of Kerala 21-12, 21-13 to meet second Prajtka Savant of Maharashtra for the title. Prajtka defeated Seshadri Sanyal of West Bengal 21-10, 2-15.
