Salgaocar defeat Indian Bank, qualifies for final round

Kochi, Mar 15 (UNI) Salgaocar today defeated Indian Bank 2-0 in the ONGC Second Division National Football League here.

The win enabled Salgaocar to qualify for the final round of the league to be held in Kozhikode.

Salgaocar led by a goal at the breather. Striker Felix Chimoaokwu netted the first goal in the 26th minute and mid-fielder R C Prakash increased the lead in the 86th minute to cement Goan Club's chance in the final phase of the championship with ten points.
