Samsung Telecom flags off Malli's new expedition to Mt. Everest

Mumbai, Sep 18 (UNI) In a quest to foster the spirit of exploring and in keeping with its philosophy of 'Next is What', Samsung Telecom today flagged off the World's fastest seven summiteer and the only Indian to accomplish the seven summits, Malli Mastan Babu, on his new expedition from Mt Everest to Kanchenjunga.

With the support of Samsung India, Malli Mastan Babu's 70 day expedition will include scaling the Kanchenjunga range, one of the most remote areas in far Eastern Nepal and the surrounding unexplored, uncharted territory.

Wishing him luck for his expedition, Sunil Dutt, Country Head, Samsung Telecom stated, ''We are pleased to associate with Malli Mastan Babu for his expedition to the unexplored area around Kanchenjunga. I am sure Malli's achievements so far and his quest to cover the uncharted terrain around Kanchenjunga will be inspiration for many.'' A post graduate in management from IIM Calcutta, Malli Mastan Babu is the only person in the world to do seven summits on seven days of the week and one in each calendar month. Apart from trekked extensively in Indian and Nepal Himalayas, he undertook 'Grand Circuit' trek of Torres Del Paine National Park in Chile.

Also, Malli is the first Indian to summit Mt. Vinson Massif, the tallest peak of Antarctica and Mt. Carstensz Pyramid, the tallest peak of Oceania.
