Chennai, Jun 8: Beating Maharashtra, Goa marched on to the Semi Finals of the 63rd National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy.
Scoring a hatrick, Marcus Mascarenhas led the Goa's brilliant 5-0 win in Group B quarter-final league match here Sunday, Jun 7. Goa has seven points gained over by two wins and a draw.
In the other qualifying quarterfinals, Services went head on head with Karnataka who needed just one point to move ahead. However, Services won the match getting the six points they needed to carry on to the semis. K. Laldingliana's penalty shot secured Services' victory.
