Saurav confident of doing well in Pakistan

Kolkata, Aug 7 (UNI) Ace Saurav Ghoshal, currently pegged down by a knee injury, is hopeful of doing well in the CAS International Squash Tournament in Pakistan.

Ghosal, who is the lone Indian to get a medal in the Asian Games when he earned a bronze in Doha, said, ''The muscle fibre on my left knee has shifted a bit and I have been advised complete rest by the doctors.'' ''However, I hope to do well in Pakistan, though it would be a tough tournament which begins on August 18,'' he said.

Today he was felicitated by the Racket Club of Calcutta conferring on him a life membership.

Saurav said he felt proud and honoured for the membership given to him.

Alok Maheswari, president of the club, took the opportunity to announce a Professional Squash Association (PSA) tournament to be held in January or February 2008.

He said it would be a three star tournament worth USD 30,000 dollars.
