Saurav Ghosal moves up in PSA ranking

Chennai, Feb 3 (UNI) Saurav Ghosal, who became the first Indian Squash player to win a medal at the Asian Games, has moved up to 46 in the PSA men's world ranking.

A press official release here today said the improvement in the ranking comes in the wake of Saurav's recent performance at the Virginia Pro Squash Championship.

Saurav defeated two times US champion Julian Illingworth 11-5, 11-6, 7-11, 11-7 in the first round of the qualifying before going down fighting to Bradley Ball in the next round.

Bradley survived the toughest battle to earn a place in the main draw of the five-star PSA tour event before prevailing in a five-game marathon.
