Scotland meet Italy in knockout match

PARIS, Sep 29 (Reuters) Scotland face Italy today in a match between two Six Nations contestants which will decide who will qualify for the World Cup quarter-finals.

The Scots fielded a weakened side against tournament favourites New Zealand last Saturday to conserve their strength for the Pool C match in St Etienne, which will decide second place in the group.

Wales play Fiji in Nantes to decide who will accompany Australia into the quarter-finals from Pool B in the day's other knockout match.
