Seksan Or Kwanmuang “Grateful” To Be Liam Harrison’s Final Fight At ONE 168: Denver

By Mike Joseph

ONE 168: Denver was a bittersweet night for Muay Thai legend Seksan Or Kwanmuang, who returned to winning ways in memorable fashion inside Denver, Colorado's Ball Arena this past Saturday, 7 September.

"The Man Who Yields To No One" knocked out England's iconic Liam Harrison in the second round of their 140-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout that was as exciting as advertised.

Clashing with the Thai phenom was something Harrison had always dreamed of. So having been handpicked by the British gunslinger for his final bout, Seksan was honored to share the Circle with him.

"I'm extremely happy and extremely grateful that he chose me to be his final fight," he said. "I absolutely love him. He's an absolute legend of the sport."

Seksan entered ONE 168 for his 285th contest, but the evening was the biggest night of his career on the largest stage of all. It was his first time competing in the U.S. - a scene where the love of Muay Thai is rapidly growing.

The 35-year-old has only been in ONE for a little over a year, but through his aggressive and unrelenting fighting style, Seksan has quickly become a fan favorite. So there's no doubt he's captured even more new fans Stateside after his foray with Harrison.

Despite many believing he's also in the twilight of his career, Seksan has no plans to hang the gloves up any time soon. He wants to continue showing the world just how wildly entertaining Muay Thai - as well as his own method - can be for onlookers.

"My style of fighting, I've done it for the longest time, ever since I've been fighting and training professional Muay Thai. I will continue fighting with this style because I want to capture the hearts and minds of fans all over the world," Seksan said.

"I definitely don't think I'm the best in the world. There are plenty of fighters who are better than me."
